A resurgent Oxygen team fought its way to the championship round after dropping to the loser's bracket in the third round after being defeated by G2 Stride. To arrive at the finals, they had to wade through a tough field: first defeating SpaceStation Gaming (SSG), then Torment's Minion's and finally, Hey Bro. Awaiting them in the finals was none other than G2 Stride. G2 took the first three games in quick fashion, looking to sweep Oxygen in the latter's own tournament. However, Oxygen went on to complete a reverse sweep for the victory!
It was a thrilling finish that generated a lot of chatter and viewership. Over 4,000 viewers tuned in on Day 2, which is almost double the Day 1 viewership. With so many eyes on the teams, it's important to note that the Oxygen team was raising funds for Easterseals throughout the tournament. Viewers donated $1,001 which Oxygen will be matching for a total of $2,002!
